Marty

A pink caterpillar,
You crept across the freeway of childhood
–fragile, vulnerable, trusting.

You wrapped yourself in the chrysalis of adolescence
–and wondered.

Now, reborn a woman,
You unfold in the brilliant morning sun and fly
–on iridescent, Technicolor wings!
